We were lucky enough to get a table at In The Skies on one of their busiest days of the year. Everything about our visit was lovely with the food and menu an absolute standout. One of those rare occasions when you want to eat every single item on offer. We had charred gem lettuce, labne with heirloom carrots, potato fritters and the meatballs just from the starter menu! All of these and our mains were delicious. The staff were relaxed and efficient, cheerfully managing the crowded restaurant and the many families with kids and babies (we were at the early sitting) without missing a beat. Relaxed but beautiful, the dining room in the bowls clubhouse is bright and inviting, the menu is insanely good value (a huge slab of a fantastic tiramisu for dessert = $12) we can’t recommend this little restaurant highly enough!

The heart of Lorne! Delicious and sophisticated eating with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I had the spaghetti gamberetti and my husband had the most succulent swordfish he’s ever eaten (and he’s Italian). Luke’s lemon tart for dessert also a highlight. Anna, Simon and their crew are the best of hosts: friendly and easygoing. Thanks for a great night!

Family friendly restaurant in classic local bowling club. Food was hit and miss with fish and steak a little overcooked but the Moreton Bay Bug Linguine was excellent and made up for the rest.

Being a visitor to Lorne a couple of times a year, we were told by a local to dine here, and I'm so glad we did. Small restaurant attached to the bowls club. Prices are around $30 to $40 for mains and presented superbly. With a small menu, we chose the Casarecce, and Polpette was delicious. A must try when staying in Lorne.

In The Skies at Lorne Bowls Club is an absolute gem. The food is outstanding, the setting is perfect, authentic charm and the staff are exceptional. We had so much fun playing lawn bowls. Highly recommend for big or small groups - it's great for everyone. 10/10.

I rarely leave reviews for places but when the whole dining experience is as good as this one , I run home to write it. The service was top tier especially the lovely young lady who served us. Everyone was very nice and welcoming overall. The food can be mediocre but when the staff is elite, it elevates the experience. Although this food was NOT mediocre, it was the best food I’ve had at a restaurant in years. Genuine soul satisfaction in every bite. My partner and I ordered the eggplant dip, fries, steak and beef ragu. The mains were the highlight with the entrees in a VERY close second. Could not fault anything about our experience at all. Do yourself a favour and dine in when you are in Lorne. Top Tier!

An incredible dinner and that's not an exaggeration! The food and service here were simply outstanding. The polpette meatballs were to die for, chargrilled with a smoky and succulent meaty flavour along with radicchio with a perfectly balanced dressing along with caponata. The barramundi was expertly cooked, and the prawn pasta was perfectly cooked (al dente) with a bisque that was rich and delightful. The coffee was brilliant (coming from a snobby Melbournian) and the deserts very good, but the real hero was the savoury food. Seriously high quality cooking! Thank you.
